Responsibilities
- Assist senior veterinarians in conducting physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for companion animals, livestock, and exotic species.
- Prepare and administer vaccines, medications, and anesthesia following strict safety protocols.
- Collect, label, and submit laboratory samples (blood, urine, feces, tissue) for routine and specialized testing.
- Maintain accurate medical records in both Indonesian and English, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
- Educate pet owners and animal caretakers on preventive health, nutrition, and post‑procedure care, translating technical concepts into clear, compassionate language.
- Participate in emergency call‑outs and triage procedures, demonstrating quick decision‑making and teamwork under pressure.
- Support the clinic’s hygiene and biosecurity programs, including sterilization of instruments, waste disposal, and infection‑control monitoring.
- Engage in continuing education activities, journal clubs, and case‑review meetings to stay current with emerging veterinary research and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including animal nutritionists, behaviorists, and rehabilitation specialists—to deliver comprehensive care plans.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited Indonesian university.
- Licensed as a Dokter Hewan in Indonesia with a clean professional standing.
- Fresh graduate status is acceptable; however, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 is required.
- Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with international clients and colleagues.
- Strong commitment to adhering to international veterinary standards and ethical guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork skills; ability to collaborate respectfully with senior staff, support personnel, and clients.
- Demonstrated caring and compassionate attitude toward animals of all sizes and species.
