We are seeking a passionate and detail‑oriented Editor Konten Seni dan Budaya to join our dynamic editorial team. This full‑time position is based in a vibrant cultural hub and focuses on developing high‑quality teaching materials, digital learning content, and published works that celebrate Indonesia’s rich arts heritage. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping curricula, books, and online resources for students, educators, and lifelong learners who share a love for visual arts, performing arts, music, and theater.
The role offers a collaborative environment where creativity meets rigorous editorial standards. You will work closely with subject‑matter experts, instructional designers, graphic artists, and production staff to ensure that every piece of content meets pedagogical objectives and aligns with national education standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine content concepts and strategic plans for arts‑based curricula.
- Draft, organize, and prepare manuscript drafts, lesson plans, and supplementary teaching aids.
- Perform substantive editing to enhance clarity, coherence, and cultural relevance.
- Conduct redactional editing to ensure consistent style, tone, and formatting across all materials.
- Execute meticulous proofreading and implement revisions based on feedback from authors and reviewers.
- Maintain rigorous quality‑control procedures, including plagiarism checks and compliance with educational standards.
- Oversee the production of companion books, teacher guides, and ancillary resources.
- Create and curate engaging digital learning content such as e‑books, interactive modules, and multimedia presentations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide mentorship to junior editors and contribute to continuous improvement of editorial workflows.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Arts & Culture, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Theatre, or a related field; education majors are highly preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional editing, publishing, or curriculum development experience, preferably within the education sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and basic desktop publishing tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Canva).
- Editorial Expertise: Strong command of Indonesian language, proofreading, substantive and redactional editing, and familiarity with academic publishing standards.
- Soft Skills: High integrity, loyalty, optimism, creativity, friendliness, disciplined work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Personal Attributes: Honest, trustworthy, agile, quick‑thinking, detail‑oriented, responsible, and capable of thriving both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability: Willingness to work full‑time, including overtime when necessary, with a schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑16:00.
