Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Prepare workstations by gathering tools, parts, and equipment needed for scheduled service jobs.
- Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections, noting any visible defects, fluid levels, and tire conditions.
- Utilize diagnostic software and handheld scanners to retrieve fault codes and assist in troubleshooting electrical or electronic issues.
- Perform basic repairs on brake systems, suspension components, and cooling systems under supervision.
- Maintain accurate service records in the shop management system, ensuring all work performed is documented in compliance with company standards.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe by following proper waste disposal procedures and adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Interact professionally with customers, explaining service recommendations and answering basic technical questions.
- Continuously update personal knowledge by attending internal training sessions, reading service manuals, and staying informed about new vehicle technologies.
- Support inventory management by checking parts availability, labeling incoming stock, and notifying the parts department of low‑stock items.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA) or equivalent; a vocational degree (SMK) in Automotive Technology is highly preferred.
- Basic proficiency with computers and the ability to operate standard office software, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fundamental understanding of vehicle mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical circuits.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM C) allowing operation of light motor vehicles.
- Strong willingness to learn, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude suitable for a team‑oriented workshop environment.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak service periods.
