Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Community Officer to join our team in Nganjuk, Jawa Timur. This role is pivotal in empowering low‑income women entrepreneurs through hands‑on business support, financial literacy training, and access to micro‑finance solutions. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between our organization and the communities we serve, helping to create sustainable livelihoods and fostering economic inclusion across the region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to assigned neighborhoods, building strong relationships with women‑owned micro‑enterprises and understanding their unique challenges.
- Provide one‑on‑one business coaching, covering topics such as cash‑flow management, basic accounting, pricing strategies, and market analysis.
- Deliver practical financial‑literacy workshops that teach simple budgeting, disciplined savings habits, and the importance of timely loan repayments.
- Facilitate group‑based financing arrangements, disbursing capital to qualified members without requiring collateral, while monitoring repayment schedules and offering remedial support when needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for loan applicants, listening attentively to their needs, answering questions, and proposing tailored solutions that align with our institution’s risk policies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress reports, and performance metrics using Microsoft Excel and Word, ensuring data integrity for internal audits.
- Collaborate with local government agencies, NGOs, and private partners to leverage additional resources, such as training programs, market linkages, and promotional events.
- Report weekly to the regional manager on outreach outcomes, challenges encountered, and suggestions for program improvement.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 degrees are also acceptable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for community engagement and meeting new people.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with a talent for explaining complex concepts in simple terms.
- Detail‑oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to manage client files and reporting duties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) for data entry and documentation.
