Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Community Officer for our Surakarta branch to join a dynamic team focused on empowering low‑income women through micro‑finance and financial literacy. This role serves as the primary link between our organization and the women we support, helping them build sustainable businesses and achieve greater economic independence. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, traveling within the assigned area, engaging with community members, and fostering long‑term relationships that drive social impact.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned neighborhoods in Surakarta to identify and engage women entrepreneurs who qualify for micro‑finance programs.
- Provide one‑on‑one business coaching, including basic bookkeeping, cash‑flow management, and goal setting.
- Deliver financial literacy workshops that cover budgeting, disciplined savings, and responsible borrowing.
- Facilitate group‑based loan disbursement without collateral, ensuring transparent and fair distribution of funds.
- Monitor repayment schedules, assist clients in meeting installment deadlines, and intervene proactively when challenges arise.
- Listen actively to client needs, document concerns, and coordinate with internal product teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Collect and report on key performance indicators such as loan uptake, repayment rates, and business growth metrics.
- Collaborate with local NGOs, community leaders, and government agencies to amplify outreach and create joint development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Word, ensuring data integrity for audit and reporting purposes.
- Promote the organization’s values of integrity, empathy, and empowerment in all interactions.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 degree is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for social networking and community engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to diverse cultural settings and work independently in the field.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with solid communication abilities, both verbal and written.
