Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Tahfidz Sekolah Dasar to join our vibrant elementary school community. This role focuses on nurturing young learners in the memorization of the Qur’an (Tahfidz) while delivering a well‑rounded educational experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Islamic education, possess strong Arabic language skills, and demonstrate a warm, engaging personality that inspires confidence and enthusiasm in children.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver daily Tahfidz lessons that guide students in memorizing up to 30 Juz of the Qur’an, ensuring proper pronunciation (tajwid) and comprehension.
- Integrate Islamic values and moral education into classroom activities, fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools aligned with the school’s curriculum standards.
- Conduct regular oral and written evaluations to track each student’s progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary projects that blend Qur’anic studies with subjects such as mathematics, science, and language arts.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and parent communication logs.
- Organize extracurricular activities, including Qur’an recitation competitions, Islamic art workshops, and community service projects.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to continually improve instructional practices.
- Uphold the school’s code of conduct, demonstrating exemplary adab (etiquette) and serving as a role model for students.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere, addressing the individual needs of each child with patience and creativity.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Gender: Female (per institutional policy).
- Fluency in Arabic—both spoken and written—with a solid grasp of tajwid rules.
- Preferably male or female candidates (Ikhwan preferred) with a strong personal commitment to Islamic teachings.
- Memorization of at least 30 Juz of the Qur’an (highly desirable).
- Prior experience teaching elementary‑aged children, preferably in an Islamic school setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: cheerful, creative, and able to engage young learners.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain professional relationships.
- No contractual obligations with other institutions that could interfere with duties.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and a willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
