Introduction
English 1 Center is seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Half‑Time Progress Advisor to join our team. In this role you will be the vital link between our classroom teachers, students, and their families, ensuring a seamless learning experience while supporting the centre’s retention and sales goals. This part‑time position offers a dynamic environment where education meets service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular, constructive communication with classroom teachers, parents, and students to monitor academic progress and address any concerns.
- Organise and lead parent‑focused events such as course orientations, parent‑teacher conferences, achievement ceremonies, and progress update meetings.
- Observe classroom sessions to assess student abilities, then provide timely feedback to teachers for instructional adjustments.
- Track attendance, follow up on student performance, and promptly contact parents regarding any issues.
- Serve as the primary liaison among teachers, parents, and students to ensure teaching quality, satisfaction, and measurable learning outcomes.
- Prepare and distribute monthly media reports that summarise student progress, attendance trends, and retention metrics.
- Administer student accounts, process payments, and support retention‑driven sales initiatives.
- Handle complaints professionally, turning challenges into opportunities for improved service.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote student retention programmes and upsell additional courses.
- Maintain accurate records in the centre’s CRM system and generate insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- University graduate (S1) in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing, sales, customer service, consulting, or education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with a good command of English.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Open‑minded, flexible, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities; adept at managing schedules and documentation.
- Pleasant personality with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Availability for a half‑time contract (approximately 30 hours per week) during standard business hours (08:00 – 17:00).
