Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Koordinator Dukungan Promotor Lapangan to join our dynamic agribusiness team. This role is pivotal in supporting field promoters who manage the cultivation of high‑value crops such as melon and watermelon. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between the field operations, the administrative office, and our customers, ensuring that best‑practice cultivation techniques are consistently applied and that promotional activities drive both product quality and market penetration.
The position offers a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, and requires a blend of technical agricultural knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage complex tasks both on‑site and behind a computer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities of field promoters, ensuring adherence to agronomic protocols for melon and watermelon cultivation.
- Monitor crop health, irrigation schedules, pest‑management plans, and harvest timelines, providing timely feedback and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities using computer‑based reporting tools; generate weekly performance dashboards for management review.
- Conduct on‑site training sessions for new promoters, covering best practices in planting, fertilization, pruning, and post‑harvest handling.
- Facilitate communication between promoters, logistics teams, and sales departments to align production with market demand.
- Identify and resolve logistical challenges such as equipment allocation, transportation of produce, and field labor scheduling.
- Develop and nurture relationships with local farmers, suppliers, and community stakeholders to strengthen the supply chain network.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to optimize yield, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies during all field operations.
- Maintain a valid SIM C driver’s license and utilize a personal motorbike for site visits and rapid response needs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor degree) in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in field coordination, agricultural promotion, or similar roles within the horticulture sector.
- Strong understanding of melon and watermelon cultivation techniques, including soil preparation, irrigation management, pest control, and harvesting.
- Proficiency with computer applications (MS Office, agricultural management software); ability to quickly learn new digital tools.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and reliability; capable of handling confidential information responsibly.
- Active learner with the ability to adapt to new environments, cultures, and people quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; passion for building and maintaining relationships with new contacts.
- Emotional resilience and effective leadership qualities to motivate teams under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex field and administrative tasks simultaneously.
- Valid SIM C driver’s license and ownership of a personal motorbike for field mobility.
- Preferred (but not mandatory) knowledge of ACLS, 3D Max, or AVR for advanced reporting and visualization.
