Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Hotel Manager (Manajer Hotel – Pengelolaan Operasional & Layanan) to lead the daily operations of our flagship property. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a high‑performance team. This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations and works closely with all department heads to ensure seamless service delivery across front‑office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, F&B, engineering, and security, ensuring adherence to YHV Hotel System protocols.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor cost controls, and implement revenue‑maximising strategies such as dynamic pricing and upselling.
- Maintain rigorous quality standards by conducting regular audits, guest satisfaction surveys, and mystery‑shop visits.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluation for all hotel staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Coordinate training programmes, including Training Needs Assessment and Learning Management, to enhance employee competencies and service excellence.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for loyalty building.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, as well as local licensing and environmental sustainability policies.
- Utilise Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools for space planning, renovation projects, and operational layout optimisation.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, proposing innovative concepts to keep the property ahead of industry developments.
- Prepare regular operational reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and Guest Satisfaction Scores.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Arts/Design, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar hotel management position, preferably within a mid‑scale to upscale property.
- Strong proficiency with the YHV Hotel System and other property management software.
- Solid understanding of building construction, facilities management, and CAD applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Creative mindset with a track record of observing and implementing new trends in design, service, and technology.
- Experience in training needs assessment, learning management systems, and delivering engaging presentations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Problem‑solving orientation, strong analytical abilities, and a customer‑centric attitude.
