Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and related equipment to assemble garments according to detailed work orders and technical specifications.
- Inspect incoming fabric, trims, and components for defects, reporting any irregularities to the quality control supervisor.
- Perform product layout and positioning tasks, ensuring each piece is correctly aligned for optimal stitching and finish.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including quantities produced, time taken, and any downtime incidents.
- Adhere to safety protocols, keep the work area clean, and perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, cutters, and quality assurance teams to resolve any fit or construction issues.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Assist in the handling and sorting of damaged or defective garments, ensuring proper documentation and corrective action.
- Continuously suggest process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in garment sewing, production, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision, speed, and discipline under production pressure.
- Strong teamwork skills combined with the capacity to work independently when required.
- Target‑oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals.
- Basic proficiency in handling and managing damaged clothing items.
