Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Penjahit Profesional to join our dynamic garment production team. This role focuses on both the creation of new clothing items and the repair or alteration of existing garments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for detail, a passion for quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. As a key member of our tailoring department, you will help us maintain our reputation for delivering high‑quality apparel to a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial and domestic sewing machines to construct garments from pattern to finished product.
- Perform precise cutting of fabric, lining, and interfacing according to technical specifications.
- Execute alterations, repairs, and custom modifications, ensuring proper fit and durability.
- Inspect finished pieces for stitching accuracy, seam alignment, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain and clean sewing equipment, perform routine troubleshooting, and report any mechanical issues to the workshop supervisor.
- Collaborate with designers and pattern makers to interpret design concepts and suggest practical adjustments for manufacturability.
- Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, buttons, zippers, and other notions, ensuring materials are stocked and organized.
- Document work progress and time spent on each order using the company’s production tracking system.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a clean workstation.
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers who bring in clothing for repairs, answering questions about turnaround times and care instructions.
Requirements
- Gender: Female (per company policy).
- Age: Minimum 20 years old.
- Education: Minimum SMP (middle school) or equivalent; SMA/SMK or higher preferred.
- Vaccination: Completed at least two doses of COVID‑19 vaccine.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to operate both single‑needle and overlock sewing machines; knowledge of fabric types and stitching techniques.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required, but any hands‑on tailoring or garment repair work is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong discipline, hard‑working attitude, quick learning ability, and a sense of responsibility.
- Physical Ability: Capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 10 kg, and perform repetitive hand motions.
- Communication: Basic proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to understand client requests and convey status updates clearly.
