Introduction
The Professional Representative Sales Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) within the highly competitive non‑food segment. This position focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with buyers across Modern Trade and General Trade channels in the strategic regions of West Java, Central Java, and the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). Ideal candidates will demonstrate a blend of sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the FMCG market dynamics, while being comfortable using standard office software to track performance and report results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve volume and revenue targets for non‑food FMCG products.
- Identify, approach, and negotiate with key decision‑makers in Modern Trade (hypermarkets, supermarkets) and General Trade (traditional retailers, independent stores).
- Maintain a regular schedule of store visits, product placements, and promotional activities to ensure optimal shelf visibility.
- Collect market intelligence, monitor competitor activity, and provide actionable insights to the regional sales manager.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, forecasts, and order confirmations using Microsoft Office tools.
- Collaborate with the marketing and merchandising teams to coordinate in‑store promotions, product launches, and point‑of‑sale material deployment.
- Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long‑term partnership.
- Participate in periodic training sessions and sales meetings to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a similar sales role within the FMCG (non‑food) sector, covering both Modern Trade and General Trade channels.
- Residency within the assigned territory (West Java, Central Java, or Jabodetabek) is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to build rapport with buyers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet weekly and monthly sales targets.
