Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and detail‑oriented Quality Control (QC) – Perhiasan specialist to join our fast‑growing jewelry manufacturing team. In this role you will be the guardian of product excellence, ensuring that every piece of jewelry that leaves our factory meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and aesthetic appeal. The position offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (07:30‑16:30) and welcomes candidates of any gender with at least one year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspect jewelry at every production stage—including casting, polishing, stone setting, plating, finishing, and packaging—to verify compliance with internal quality standards.
- Evaluate key attributes such as colour, shape, weight, dimensions, surface finish, and overall brilliance using precision tools (magnifying loops, digital scales, calipers, and specialised gauges).
- Identify and document any defects (scratches, corrosion, cracks, loose stones, or irregularities) and communicate findings promptly to the production supervisor.
- Generate detailed daily and weekly QC reports, highlighting trends, root‑cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.
- Conduct random sampling across production batches to ensure consistency and to detect systemic issues before they affect large volumes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area, performing routine calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for process improvements that enhance product durability and visual appeal.
- Participate in periodic internal audits and assist in preparing documentation for external certifications such as ISO 9001 and industry‑specific quality standards.
- Support new product introductions by developing and validating inspection checklists tailored to novel designs and materials.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in quality control or production within the jewelry sector; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are also considered.
- High school diploma or higher (all education levels accepted).
- Exceptional attention to detail, patience, and strong observational skills for colour, shape, sparkle, and surface integrity.
- Proficiency with inspection tools such as magnifying glasses, precision balances, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to follow documented quality procedures and adapt to evolving standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated integrity, discipline, and a commitment to upholding the highest product quality.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Flexibility to work the regular shift of Monday‑Friday, 07:30‑16:30.
