Introduction
The Remedial Collection Officer will be based in Balige and will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the cash flow of our multifinance institution. This full‑time position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for executing overdue accounts receivable (A/R) collections with professionalism, empathy, and strict adherence to regulatory standards. Candidates must be able to work independently while collaborating closely with branch teams to resolve problematic accounts and achieve the company’s financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end‑to‑end collection process for overdue A/R, ensuring that all actions are taken promptly and in line with internal policies.
- Conduct on‑site visits to borrowers for personal collection negotiations, documenting all interactions accurately.
- Coordinate with the branch’s credit and risk departments to identify high‑risk partners and develop tailored remediation plans.
- Maintain a detailed collection log, update the CRM system, and generate daily/weekly reports for senior management.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly collection targets set by the company, employing strategic follow‑up calls, reminders, and legal notices when necessary.
- Assist the branch in handling distressed partners, including arranging payment restructuring, settlement agreements, or legal actions.
- Provide regular feedback to the credit underwriting team on emerging risk trends and borrower behavior.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the collection workflow and enhance recovery rates.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with Indonesian financial regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Diploma) or S1 (Bachelor’s) in any discipline; fresh graduates are welcome.
- At least 1 year of experience in debt collection, credit monitoring, or a related financial services role.
- Male candidates only, with a maximum age of 29 years at the time of application.
- Strong understanding of multifinance business processes and a results‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including persuasive negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated integrity, resilience, meticulous attention to detail, and honesty in handling confidential information.
- Ability to travel within the assigned domicile area for on‑site borrower visits.
- Proficient in credit monitoring tools, debt collection software, and standard office applications (MS Office).
