Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential new borrowers by conducting outreach visits, community events, and referrals to promote Amartha’s loan programs.
- Provide on‑site economic counseling and financial education to member households, helping them understand budgeting, savings, and responsible borrowing.
- Conduct thorough surveys and feasibility analyses of loan applications, ensuring compliance with Amartha’s internal policies, risk‑assessment criteria, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports on borrower eligibility, repayment capacity, and collateral (if applicable), and submit findings to the underwriting team.
- Manage the collection process by following up on repayment schedules, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
- Collaborate closely with the regional operations manager to track performance metrics, share market insights, and suggest improvements to field‑work strategies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Amartha’s brand reputation while working in the field daily.
- Utilize a personal vehicle to travel efficiently across the designated service area, ensuring timely visits to all assigned households.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 18‑30 years old (maximum 33 years as per original posting).
- All genders are welcome; however, female candidates are given preference.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal transportation is mandatory.
- Strong personal integrity, honesty, attention to detail, and a disciplined work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to build trust quickly with diverse community members.
- Resilience and physical stamina to work outdoors and navigate varied terrain on a daily basis.
- Basic digital literacy – comfortable using smartphones, data entry applications, and Amartha’s internal systems for loan processing.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided, though previous field or sales experience is a plus.
