Introduction
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join the front‑office team of a thriving hotel located in Pasuruan. This pivotal role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every arrival, stay, and departure is handled with efficiency, warmth, and a high standard of service. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, handling check‑in and check‑out procedures in accordance with hotel policies.
- Manage reservations, both walk‑in and online, using the property management system (PMS) to allocate rooms, adjust bookings, and process cancellations.
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, transportation options, and dining venues, delivering personalized recommendations when appropriate.
- Answer and direct telephone calls, respond to email inquiries, and maintain a professional front‑desk telephone etiquette.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food‑and‑beverage departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues swiftly.
- Handle guest billing, process payments, and prepare detailed invoices while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area, including the lobby, brochure racks, and electronic displays.
- Record and report any incidents, maintenance problems, or security concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and preparing daily occupancy reports.
- Uphold the hotel’s standards of appearance and conduct, including the requirement to refrain from wearing any religious symbols while on duty.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Candidates must be 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience as a receptionist or front‑office staff in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English with the ability to converse fluently with international guests.
- Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and capable of multitasking under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Professional Conduct: Willingness to adhere to the policy of not displaying any religious attire or symbols during working hours.
- Location Preference: Residents of Pasuruan and surrounding areas are strongly preferred to facilitate punctuality and local knowledge.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with common hotel management software and basic computer operations (MS Office, email).
- Work Schedule: Availability to work a seven‑day roster, Monday through Sunday, from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
