Introduction
SPX Express, a leading logistics provider in Central Java, is seeking a dynamic Shift Lead to join our operations team in Pulokulon, Kabupaten Grobogan. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our courier network runs smoothly, that shipments are dispatched and received on time, and that our customers experience the reliability and professionalism that SPX Express is known for. The successful candidate will supervise a team of couriers, coordinate daily schedules, and act as the primary point of contact for both inbound and outbound logistics activities.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed daily schedules for courier pick‑up and delivery operations, ensuring optimal route planning and resource utilization.
- Monitor the entire shipment lifecycle—from the moment a parcel is picked up, through sorting, to final delivery—using our warehouse management system (WMS) and real‑time tracking tools.
- Define and adjust delivery zones based on traffic patterns, order volume, and customer demand to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee inbound and outbound processes, coordinating closely with third‑party logistics (3PL) partners to guarantee seamless hand‑offs.
- Supervise sorting activities, verify that items are correctly classified, and ensure that distribution to couriers follows established SOPs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of courier teams, providing coaching on time management, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery rate, order accuracy, and average handling time.
- Identify process bottlenecks, propose continuous‑improvement initiatives, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the operations manager.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, company policies, and health‑and‑safety standards throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry, with a proven track record of managing teams.
- Strong understanding of planning, shipping, and warehousing processes, including familiarity with WMS and TMS platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including strategic decision‑making, conflict resolution, and team motivation.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with couriers, 3PL partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, to match the operational needs of a 6‑day work week (Monday‑Saturday, 09:30‑18:30).
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Pulokulon, Kabupaten Grobogan, Jawa Tengah.
