Introduction
SPX Express is seeking a proactive and experienced SOC Shift Lead to join our dynamic logistics team in Kota Cirebon, Jawa Barat. This pivotal role oversees the daily operations of our Sortation Center (SOC), ensuring seamless flow from inbound receipt to outbound dispatch. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader who can balance operational efficiency with strict adherence to safety and quality standards, while motivating a diverse workforce across multiple shifts.
The SOC Shift Lead reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with cross‑functional teams, including inventory control, transportation, and customer service, to deliver on‑time, error‑free deliveries for our growing e‑commerce and B2B clientele.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the end‑to‑end daily operations of the Sortation Center, covering inbound receiving, sorting, bagging, re‑processing, and outbound shipping.
- Ensure all activities comply with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety.
- Develop and adjust manpower plans in response to fluctuating daily volumes, optimizing labor utilization while controlling overtime costs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pick‑rate, throughput, equipment uptime, and order accuracy; take corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Conduct daily briefings and de‑briefings with the team, communicating performance results, safety updates, and the implementation of 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, shortening cycle times, and enhancing overall productivity.
- Coordinate with maintenance to schedule preventive upkeep of conveyors, scanners, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and handover documentation for the next shift leader.
- Mentor and coach supervisors and frontline associates, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff, ensuring they understand SOPs and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is preferred.
- 2–3 years of logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or warehouse lead role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high‑volume sortation environment and lead a multi‑skill team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English is advantageous.
- Proven leadership qualities, including problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends; willingness to be stationed in Kota Cirebon, Jawa Barat.

- Technical aptitude with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer literacy.
