Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen supervisors in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and proteins.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, and dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
- Collect, sort, and thoroughly clean all used dishes, cookware, utensils, and glassware, ensuring they meet health‑code standards before they are returned to service.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, disposables, and basic kitchen staples, reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces throughout the shift.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper storage temperatures, cross‑contamination prevention, and waste segregation.
- Support the kitchen team during peak service periods by restocking stations, refilling condiment containers, and assisting with quick plating tasks.
- Document any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and communicate them promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere to the established schedule, arriving on time for the shift (08:00 – 17:00, Monday‑Saturday) and completing a thorough end‑of‑day cleaning routine.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Maximum 26 years old.
- Gender: Open to all genders; candidates must be single (no marital obligations that could affect shift availability).
- Availability: Must not be currently enrolled in any educational program and must be able to work full‑time.
- Experience: No prior experience required; however, familiarity with basic kitchen operations and dishwashing is preferred.
- Key Traits: Quick‑learning, disciplined, responsible, honest, and able to work under pressure.
- Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 kg, and performing repetitive motions safely.
- Skills: Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment and understand basic hygiene standards.
