Responsibilities
- Prepare, measure, and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and fryers safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of workstations, utensils, and storage areas to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Support the head chef in organizing prep stations for daily service, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and ready.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and report shortages or excesses to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, cross‑contamination prevention, and documentation of hygiene checks.
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to coordinate timing of dish assembly, helping to meet tight service windows.
- Maintain accurate records of waste, spoilage, and any equipment malfunctions for continuous improvement.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new menu items, kitchen technologies, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by conveying any issues or suggestions to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age between 19 and 27 years.
- Both male and female applicants accepted; female candidates must wear a hijab.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar kitchen or food‑preparation role.
- Ability to start work immediately or within a short notice period.
- Possession of a clean police clearance (SKCK) or a drug‑free certificate.
- Current medical clearance from a licensed physician confirming fitness for kitchen work.
- Proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment and tools.
- Strong teamwork orientation, reliability, and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
