Introduction
Amartha, a leading micro‑finance institution dedicated to empowering rural entrepreneurs in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic Staff Lapangan Penempatan Area Grobogan (Collection). The successful candidate will work on the ground in Grobogan, focusing on timely loan collection, providing economic guidance to micro‑SME households, and supporting weekly member meetings. This full‑time role offers a chance to make a tangible impact on the financial wellbeing of underserved communities while developing a robust skill set in field collection and community development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field collection activities, targeting Amartha borrowers who are two months or more past due, ensuring respectful yet firm communication.
- Provide on‑site economic coaching to rural household members engaged in micro‑SME businesses, helping them improve cash flow, budgeting, and growth strategies.
- Accompany and facilitate weekly member gatherings, overseeing transaction processes, recording attendance, and addressing any operational issues.
- Monitor and verify that borrower instalments are paid on schedule, documenting any delays and coordinating follow‑up actions with the central credit team.
- Maintain accurate field reports, including visit logs, collection status, and socio‑economic observations, using Amartha’s digital reporting tools.
- Identify early warning signs of repayment difficulty and propose preventative measures, such as restructuring payment plans or linking borrowers to additional support services.
- Collaborate closely with local partners, village officials, and community leaders to build trust and reinforce Amartha’s brand presence in the region.
- Travel within the Grobogan area on a daily basis, adhering to the scheduled work hours of 08:00 – 17:00, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: up to 30 years old.
- Gender: open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of experience in field collection, community outreach, or micro‑enterprise support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Demonstrated empathy and cultural sensitivity when working with rural households.
- Basic proficiency in using mobile data collection apps and Microsoft Office suite.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Skill focus: Brand development and community relationship management.
