Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Ambulance Driver (Supir Ambulans) to join our emergency medical team in the vibrant city of Depok. This role is critical to ensuring that patients receive timely, safe, and compassionate transport to medical facilities. As a member of our fleet, you will operate under the standards set by the Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia) and work alongside trained medical personnel to support life‑saving operations throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an ambulance equipped with emergency medical equipment, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and priority vehicle protocols.
  • Respond promptly to dispatch calls, navigating the quickest routes while maintaining safety for patients, crew, and other road users.
  • Assist medical staff in loading and unloading patients, securing stretchers, and ensuring that all medical supplies are correctly stored.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, conduct basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues to the fleet manager.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, patient transport details, and shift handovers.
  • Participate in regular training sessions on emergency driving techniques, first‑aid basics, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrate calm and decisive action during high‑stress situations, such as traffic congestion, adverse weather, or multiple simultaneous calls.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, hospital staff, and patients’ families, providing clear updates on arrival times and patient status.
  • Adhere to shift schedules, including night and weekend duties, to ensure 24‑hour coverage for the community.

Requirements

  • Valid Indonesian SIM B1 driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age not exceeding 35 years.
  • At least one (1) year of professional driving experience, preferably with exposure to emergency or priority vehicle operations.
  • Physical and mental health that meets the demands of emergency response work.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws, ambulance signaling devices, and road safety procedures.
  • Preferred: Certification in PPGD (Pelatihan Pertolongan Gawat Darurat) or BLS (Basic Life Support) as mandated by Palang Merah Indonesia.
  • Excellent communication skills, disciplined work ethic, and the ability to work in rotating shifts (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
  • Core soft skills: critical thinking, rapid decision‑making, situational awareness, and a compassionate attitude toward patients.
