Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Tooling Technician (Teknisi Alat Tooling Produksi) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring that all moulding tools and fixtures are designed, maintained, and optimized for maximum efficiency on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical background, hands‑on experience with tool‑making software, and a proven track record of troubleshooting complex tooling issues in a fast‑paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, modify, and repair moulding tools and fixtures using CAD/CAM software such as TOOL‑MAKER, ensuring they meet strict dimensional tolerances.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all production tooling, documenting wear patterns and recommending replacement schedules.
- Collaborate closely with product engineers, mould designers, and production supervisors to translate design specifications into functional tooling solutions.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on tooling failures, develop corrective action plans, and implement process improvements to reduce downtime.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of spare parts, consumables, and tooling accessories, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Train junior technicians and shop floor operators on proper tool handling, safety protocols, and best practices for tool setup.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, work orders, and documentation required for internal audits and ISO compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen projects aimed at increasing tool life and production throughput.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (D4) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience as a Tooling Technician in a moulding or injection‑moulding environment; preferably 3 years.
- Proficiency with TOOL‑MAKER or equivalent tool‑design software, including the ability to create 3‑D models and generate CNC code.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose tooling issues quickly and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight production schedules.
- Complete set of application documents (resume, certificates, identity proof) as required by the hiring process.
- Open to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with flexibility for occasional overtime during peak production periods.
