To support our expanding product portfolio, we are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This full‑time position offers a Monday‑Saturday work schedule (08:00 – 17:00) and is open to qualified candidates who are passionate about turning ideas into reliable, high‑performance machinery. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with at least one year of hands‑on design experience and a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop concept sketches and 3D models for new industrial machines using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, assembly models, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) that meet internal standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project management—to ensure designs are feasible, cost‑effective, and manufacturable.
- Perform basic stress, tolerance, and motion analyses to verify that designs will perform reliably under expected operating conditions.
- Support the prototyping phase by providing design clarification, troubleshooting assembly issues, and updating drawings based on test results.
- Coordinate with machining and fabrication shops to select appropriate processes, materials, and tolerances, ensuring smooth transition from design to production.
- Maintain accurate version control of all design files and documentation within the company’s PLM system.
- Participate in design reviews, presenting technical solutions and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve product performance, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance overall design efficiency.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging CAD tools, industry standards, and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.
Requirements
- Minimum D3 (Associate) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field; a Bachelor’s degree (S1) is preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor; ability to produce high‑quality 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Solid understanding of machining, fabrication processes, material selection, and tolerance stack‑up.
- Demonstrated ability to generate complete assembly drawings, detailed part drawings, and accurate BOMs.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently as well as within a team.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English for reading technical documents.
