Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Life Guard Professional (Penjaga Keselamatan Laut) to join our dynamic safety team at one of the premier coastal facilities in Indonesia. As a frontline guardian of marine safety, you will play a critical role in protecting guests, employees, and the public from water‑related hazards while ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor designated swimming, beach, and pool areas to detect potential safety risks and respond instantly to emergencies.
- Perform water rescues, administer CPR, basic life support, and first‑aid treatment in accordance with national safety standards.
- Maintain and inspect lifeguard equipment (life buoys, rescue tubes, defibrillators, communication radios) to ensure readiness at all times.
- Enforce facility rules, signage, and safety protocols, providing clear guidance to guests on proper water conduct.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and educational sessions for guests, especially during peak seasons and special events.
- Document and report all incidents, near‑misses, and equipment checks using the organization’s reporting system.
- Collaborate with local emergency services, coast guard, and medical personnel during major incidents.
- Assist in organizing and supervising water‑based activities such as swimming lessons, water aerobics, and beach games.
- Participate in scheduled training drills, certifications, and continuous‑learning programs to keep skills current.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, while maintaining composure under high‑pressure situations.
Requirements
- All genders are welcome; the role is open to both male and female candidates.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; candidates with an associate (D3) or bachelor’s (S1) degree in related fields are preferred.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in lifeguarding, water safety, or a closely related hospitality role.
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and a recognized Lifeguard Qualification (e.g., PLS, BLS).
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, strong sense of responsibility, and a professional work ethic.
- Excellent teamwork abilities combined with the capacity to work independently when required.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is an advantage.
- Physical fitness suitable for demanding rescue operations, including swimming proficiency and endurance.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00), overtime, and perform under pressure.
