Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Senior English Teacher (Guru Bahasa Inggris Senior) to join our respected educational institution. Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve engaging English language lessons for secondary‑level and Madrasah Diniyah (Madin) classes.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with national curricula and the institution’s pedagogical goals.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, oral examinations, essays, and standardized tests; provide constructive feedback and individualized support.
- Integrate modern teaching technologies (e.g., interactive whiteboards, learning management systems) to enhance classroom interaction.
- Guide students in reading and interpreting classical Islamic texts (Kitab Kuning) and ensure mastery of Arabic grammar (nahwu) and morphology (shorof) where applicable.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary projects that connect language skills with cultural and religious studies.
- Mentor junior instructors, offering coaching on lesson delivery, classroom management, and professional development.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum review committees, and school events, contributing ideas that advance educational quality.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grading, and student progress in accordance with institutional policies.
- Uphold the institution’s code of conduct, demonstrating loyalty, integrity, and respect for all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master’s degree (S2) is highly preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience, ideally 3+ years in secondary education or Madrasah Diniyah settings.
- Graduates from recognized public universities (PTN) are given priority.
- Strong proficiency in English (both spoken and written) and, for Madin positions, fluency in Arabic.
- Ability to read and interpret classical Islamic texts (Kitab Kuning) and solid knowledge of nahwu‑shorof.
- Completed at least five years of formal pesantren (Islamic boarding school) education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated loyalty to the institution and willingness to adhere to its policies and regulations.
- Open to working Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
