Responsibilities
- Manage all point‑of‑sale (POS) operations, including cash handling, credit/debit processing, and mobile payments.
- Accurately record daily sales, perform end‑of‑shift cash counts, and reconcile discrepancies within strict timeframes.
- Supervise and coach junior cashiers, providing on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and support for complex transactions.
- Maintain a tidy, organized checkout area, ensuring that all equipment (scanners, cash drawers, receipt printers) is functional and well‑stocked with necessary supplies.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve payment‑related issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating escalated matters to store management when necessary.
- Implement loss‑prevention measures, monitor for fraudulent activity, and report any suspicious behavior to security personnel.
- Collaborate with inventory and sales teams to verify price changes, promotions, and product returns, ensuring accurate pricing at the register.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, transaction volumes, and cash variance for senior management review.
- Adhere to all company policies, health‑and‑safety regulations, and legal requirements governing cash handling and consumer protection.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 40 years old.
- At least 2 years of experience in a retail cashier or similar role; senior‑level experience preferred.
- Proficient in operating modern POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong numerical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, from 08:00 to 17:00.
