Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Field Collector to join our team in Pematang Siantar. This role is a pivotal part of our finance and customer relations department, responsible for ensuring timely payments while maintaining positive relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of accountability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate both face‑to‑face and remote collection activities in a fast‑moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound visits and phone calls to accounts that are past due or approaching their payment deadline.
- Deliver courteous reminders to customers, emphasizing the importance of on‑time payment and outlining any applicable penalties.
- Explain the financial and legal consequences of delayed payments in clear, non‑technical language.
- Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or alternative arrangements that balance the interests of the company and the customer.
- Document every interaction in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy for future reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams—such as credit, legal, and sales—to resolve disputes and unblock payment obstacles.
- Analyze patterns of delinquency to identify root causes and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the company in the field, adhering to safety and ethical standards.
- Prepare weekly and monthly collection reports, highlighting key performance indicators such as recovery rate, average days past due, and customer satisfaction scores.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA) or equivalent; a D3/D4 degree is preferred.
- Age: Up to 35 years old, though exceptional candidates of any age are welcome.
- Experience: Prior experience in desk collection or field collection is highly advantageous.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse client groups.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning proprietary collection software.
- Administrative: Ability to manage paperwork, maintain accurate records, and follow strict compliance guidelines.
- Problem‑solving: Demonstrated analytical ability to assess payment issues and propose viable solutions.
- Integrity: High ethical standards, honesty, and a sense of responsibility for meeting collection targets.
