Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on buses and heavy‑duty trucks using diagnostic tools and visual inspection.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
- Repair and refurbish vehicle bodies (karoseri), ensuring paintwork, panels, and fittings meet quality standards.
- Service and troubleshoot air‑conditioning (AC) systems, including refrigerant recharge and component replacement.
- Maintain and replace tires, ensuring proper inflation, balance, and alignment for safe operation.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components, addressing issues in fuel, cooling, and ignition systems.
- Inspect and repair the vehicle undercarriage (onderstel), including suspension, steering, and frame integrity.
- Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent in the workshop management system.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and fellow technicians to prioritize workload and meet service deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean work area.
- Participate in night‑shift rotations as required, ensuring continuous fleet availability.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent, with a focus on automotive technology.
- At least 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience servicing buses or heavy‑duty trucks.
- Valid domicile and KTP (identity card) issued in Jawa Timur.
- Male candidates are preferred for this role, reflecting the current operational needs.
- Willingness to work night shifts and on a Monday‑Saturday schedule (08:00‑17:00).
- Demonstrated discipline, quick response ability, high initiative, and agility in problem‑solving.
- Good physical health and mental stamina to handle demanding mechanical tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and drivers.
- Basic computer literacy for logging service records and accessing diagnostic software.
