Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities on the shop floor, ensuring adherence to schedules, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, yield, downtime, and scrap rates, and report variances to senior management.
- Lead a team of machine operators, technicians, and auxiliary staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate shift handovers, ensuring accurate communication of production status, equipment conditions, and any outstanding issues.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, verify calibration, and collaborate with maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, updating them as needed to reflect process changes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing initiatives; drive Kaizen events and track results.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and internal quality standards, conducting audits and corrective actions when required.
- Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and documentation for traceability and regulatory purposes.
- Support training programs for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing staff.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Diploma (SMK) or high school (SMA) equivalent; Bachelor’s degree (S1) preferred for career progression.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a production team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday).
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, production monitoring software) and familiarity with PLC‑controlled equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
