Introduction

The Reservation Daily Worker Staff member is a pivotal front‑line position within the hospitality and tourism sector. This role ensures that every guest’s booking experience is smooth, accurate, and welcoming, thereby supporting the overall reputation and operational efficiency of the property. Whether working in a hotel, resort, travel agency, or a large event venue, the Reservation Daily Worker acts as the first point of contact for customers who are planning their stay or event, handling inquiries, confirming details, and maintaining up‑to‑date reservation records.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring all required information is captured accurately.
  • Enter and update reservation data in the property management system (PMS) or central booking software, verifying dates, room types, rates, and special requests.
  • Communicate clearly with guests to confirm bookings, provide pre‑arrival information, and answer any questions regarding amenities, policies, or local attractions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and sales teams to guarantee room availability and to manage over‑booking situations proactively.
  • Handle modifications, cancellations, and refunds in accordance with the company’s policies while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare daily reports on reservation trends, occupancy forecasts, and revenue projections for management review.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints or special accommodation requests, escalating issues when necessary to supervisors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest data and adhere to data‑protection regulations.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and also perform independently during peak booking periods.
  • Stay updated on seasonal promotions, pricing strategies, and competitor offerings to provide accurate information to prospective guests.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.

  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
  • Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, managing tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or related customer‑service fields is preferred but not mandatory; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
  • Proficiency with reservation software, Microsoft Office suite, and basic internet navigation.
  • Capability to remain calm and productive under pressure, especially during high‑volume booking periods.
  • Flexible availability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
