Introduction
We are seeking a diligent General Maintenance Technician to join our operational facilities team. This full‑time position is based at our main campus and plays a critical role in ensuring that all building systems—such as air‑conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment—operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver who can respond quickly to service requests, conduct routine preventive maintenance, and contribute to a clean, secure work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical panels, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other building equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults reported by staff, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly, applying safety protocols and professional judgment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection reports in the company’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Conduct routine safety inspections of fire‑suppression systems, emergency exits, and overall facility conditions.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or major equipment overhauls while supervising their work on site.
- Assist in inventory management of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ordering replacements as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff or apprentices, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting upgrades or energy‑saving measures that enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Male applicant, age 35 years or younger (maximum 40 years as per company policy).
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical diploma in mechanical, electrical, or building services is preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in general facility maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of HVAC, electrical circuits, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance instructions.
- Core soft skills: honesty, discipline, reliability, good communication, and a customer‑service orientation.
- Willingness to work the regular schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 10:00 – 20:00, with occasional overtime for urgent repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles when required.
