Introduction
The Product Food & Beverage Development internship offers a unique entry point for motivated undergraduate students or recent graduates who are passionate about the hospitality sector. Hosted by Accor, a global leader in hotel and restaurant services, this program is designed to immerse participants in the full lifecycle of product creation—from concept ideation and market research to recipe testing and launch support. The role is based in Indonesia, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00. Candidates must have at least a high school (SMA/SMK) education, but we welcome applicants from any gender who demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for food and beverage innovation.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior product developers in researching emerging food and beverage trends within the hospitality market.
- Support the creation of new menu items, including drafting specifications, ingredient sourcing, and cost analysis.
- Participate in kitchen trials, document sensory evaluations, and record feedback for iterative product improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as marketing, procurement, and operations to ensure seamless rollout of new offerings.
- Prepare presentation materials and reports that communicate product concepts, projected profitability, and implementation timelines to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of recipes, standard operating procedures, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh perspectives from academic studies or personal experiences.
- Monitor competitor product launches and benchmark performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist in organizing internal tasting events and gathering guest feedback to refine product concepts.
- Uphold a professional appearance and adhere to Accor’s brand standards while interacting with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Active undergraduate student or fresh graduate, preferably from Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Strong interest and basic knowledge of the hospitality and food‑service industry.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and a good command of English.
- Professional attitude, well‑groomed appearance, and the ability to represent the Accor brand positively.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of initiative, discipline, responsibility, and a keen eye for detail.
