Introduction
SPX Express is expanding its logistics network in Central Java and is seeking a dynamic SOC Shift Lead for its Sortation Center (SOC) located in Kab. Karanganyar. This pivotal role ensures smooth daily operations across inbound, sortation, bagging, reprocessing, and outbound activities while leading a dedicated team of warehouse professionals. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on operational expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to uphold SPX Express’s commitment to speed, accuracy, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the daily operational flow of the Sortation Center, ensuring each process— inbound receipt, sorting, bagging, re‑processing, and outbound dispatch—runs according to established SOPs.
- Develop and adjust manpower plans in response to fluctuating daily volumes, aligning staff levels with peak periods and low‑traffic times.
- Track team productivity, equipment utilization, and capacity metrics, generating reports that highlight performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular briefings with shift personnel to review daily targets, safety observations, and the implementation of 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high morale.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including inventory control, quality assurance, and transportation—to resolve bottlenecks and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and conducting periodic safety audits.
- Identify and recommend equipment upgrades or process enhancements that can increase throughput while reducing error rates.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is a plus.
- At least 2–3 years of logistics experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or Warehouse/Sortation Center Lead role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate shift schedules, and drive performance through clear communication.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret productivity data and implement corrective actions.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and willingness to be based in Kab. Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities, with fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English preferred.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and familiarity with 5S or Lean methodologies.
