Introduction
We are seeking a proactive Staff Engineer – Network & Technical Solutions to join our dynamic IT team in Jakarta. This full‑time position focuses on delivering high‑quality LAN, Wi‑Fi, and end‑user support across our on‑site facilities. The ideal candidate will combine solid technical knowledge with a strong customer‑service mindset, ensuring seamless connectivity for all business users while contributing to the continuous improvement of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide on‑site support for LAN, Wi‑Fi, and end‑user devices, ensuring rapid resolution of connectivity issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network disruptions, hardware failures, and software anomalies using industry‑standard tools.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, patch deployments, and hardware inspections to keep the network running optimally.
- Monitor network performance through dashboards and alerts, generating detailed documentation and reports for senior engineers.
- Configure basic network elements, including IP addressing, VLAN creation, SSID provisioning, and access‑point reset/reconfiguration.
- Collaborate closely with the NOC and internal IT teams to coordinate change windows, incident escalations, and project implementations.
- Execute cable‑crimping, termination, and testing procedures to maintain high‑quality physical infrastructure.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and occasional overtime to guarantee 24/7 network availability for critical business operations.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices, recommending improvements that enhance security, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in network support or a comparable role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and basic routing concepts.
- Hardware Skills: Ability to troubleshoot LAN/Wi‑Fi environments, perform cable crimping, and configure network devices.
- Vendor Familiarity: Experience with Cisco, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti equipment; exposure to firewalls and network monitoring tools is a plus.
- Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, MTCNA, or equivalent networking credentials.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem‑solving aptitude, teamwork orientation, and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Availability: Willingness to work overtime or be on‑call when required to maintain service continuity.
