Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Sales Merchandiser to join our dynamic retail team in Sorong, Papua Barat. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our product displays are visually compelling, inventory levels are optimal, and pricing is accurate, thereby driving sales growth across multiple retail outlets. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands‑on merchandising experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional in‑store experiences for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Product Display Management: Arrange merchandise on shelves according to the company’s planogram, ensuring that each product catches the eye of shoppers and adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Inventory Control: Perform regular stock checks, replenish items from the warehouse, monitor expiration dates, and coordinate returns of damaged goods.
  • Pricing Accuracy: Apply and update price tags so they match the point‑of‑sale system, reducing pricing errors and enhancing customer trust.
  • Outlet Visiting: Conduct scheduled visits to retail partners from Monday to Saturday (08:00‑17:00), assess shelf conditions, and provide on‑site support to store staff.
  • Competitive Analysis: Observe competitor pricing, promotions, and new product launches, then compile actionable insights for the sales and marketing teams.
  • Reporting: Generate daily and weekly reports covering sales performance, stock status, and promotional activities, ensuring data is clear and actionable.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with store personnel and end‑customers to gather feedback, answer product queries, and reinforce brand loyalty.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Open to all genders.
  • At least 1 year of relevant merchandising or retail experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with retail partners.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a keen eye for visual presentation and pricing precision.
  • Basic proficiency with handheld devices or inventory management software.
  • Flexibility to travel within the Sorong region and work a full‑time schedule (Monday‑Saturday).
