Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods, ensuring that incoming shipments are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. Operating in a fast‑paced logistics hub, you will collaborate closely with the inventory control, shipping, and receiving departments. Responsibilities
- Unload goods from delivery vehicles (including wing boxes) and transport them to designated storage locations.
- Pick and stage items from storage racks for loading onto outbound trucks, ensuring proper sequencing and documentation.
- Re‑organize inventory on shelves to optimize space utilization and accommodate incoming shipments.
- Enter and update receipt, issue, and movement data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Operate forklift or reach truck safely during all material‑handling tasks, adhering to company SOPs and local regulations.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, report any defects, and perform basic maintenance such as battery charging or fluid checks.
- Utilize handheld scanners (PDT/Android) to verify barcodes, track inventory, and support real‑time stock visibility.
- Assist in periodic cycle counts and full inventory audits, helping to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping of aisles, loading docks, and equipment storage.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age between 18 and 30 years.
- Active SIO Forklift certification (operator’s license).
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a forklift or material‑handling operator in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating both manual and automatic forklifts, including diesel and electric models.
- Strong computer skills: competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable navigating warehouse software.
- Experience using barcode scanners and mobile data terminals for inventory tracking.
- Good physical health, verified by a medical certificate, to safely perform lifting and maneuvering tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a safety‑first mindset.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to support cross‑functional initiatives.
