Responsibilities
- Transport raw materials and finished products over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated warehouses or customer sites.
- Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, identifying safety concerns, performing basic maintenance, and reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
- Plan optimal routes using GPS and company logistics software, taking into account traffic patterns, road conditions, and fuel efficiency.
- Prepare and submit accurate delivery documentation, including waybills, load manifests, and electronic proof of delivery (e‑POD).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company SOPs to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to verify load specifications, secure cargo, and confirm loading/unloading schedules.
- Report any product damage, accidents, or violations promptly to management and assist with incident investigations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab environment, promoting a professional image and ensuring comfort during long hauls.
- Participate in regular safety briefings, driver training sessions, and performance reviews to continuously improve driving skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 40 years or younger.
- Gender: Male (as required by local labor regulations for this vehicle class).
- At least 1 year of professional experience driving heavy‑duty trucks on long‑haul routes.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license for Class B or higher, with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in route planning tools, GPS navigation, and basic computer skills for digital reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with dispatch, clients, and management.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a high level of personal integrity.
- Soft skills: problem‑solving, attention to detail, adaptability to changing schedules, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Additional skill: familiarity with autonomous driver‑assist system design concepts is a plus.
