Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and professional Sopir Pengemudi Kendaraan Operasional to join our logistics team in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods, supporting our supply chain, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will operate company vehicles, handle loading and unloading tasks, and navigate the local area efficiently while adhering to safety and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate company‑owned vehicles (cars, vans, or light trucks) for daily deliveries and pickups across the Yogyakarta metropolitan area.
- Plan and execute routes using GPS, maps, and local knowledge to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
- Load, secure, and unload merchandise, ensuring items are handled with care and any special handling instructions are followed.
- Conduct pre‑trip vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues, and keep the vehicle clean and well‑maintained.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel receipts, and incident reports as required by the operations manager.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff to coordinate pick‑up and drop‑off times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, including the proper use of seat belts and personal protective equipment during loading.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing the company with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist with occasional inventory checks and return of empty containers or packaging to the warehouse.
- Participate in periodic safety training and driver‑performance reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Gender: Female (as specified by the client).
- Age: Up to 35 years old.
- Valid Indonesian SIM B (motor vehicle driving licence).
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in an urban logistics environment.
- Strong familiarity with the geography of DI Yogyakarta and surrounding districts.
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual loading and unloading of goods.
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, punctuality, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact courteously with customers and team members.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor checks (oil level, tire pressure, etc.).
