Introduction
The Supervisor Operasional Kitchen is a pivotal role within our fast‑growing hospitality group, responsible for guaranteeing that every kitchen operation runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with food safety standards. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, the supervisor will coordinate both front‑of‑house (server) and back‑of‑house (kitchen) teams, ensuring a seamless guest experience from the moment a reservation is made until the final plate is cleared.
This full‑time position works Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and is ideal for a motivated individual with a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent, a strong work ethic, and a passion for culinary operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen activities, including preparation, cooking, plating, and service, to meet quality and timing standards.
- Supervise and mentor a mixed team of male kitchen staff and female servers, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and on‑the‑job training.
- Coordinate shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak hours while managing overtime and labor costs.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, disposables, and cleaning supplies; conduct regular stock takes and place purchase orders as needed.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols in accordance with local regulations and internal SOPs.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menu items, ensuring feasibility, cost control, and consistency.
- Handle guest complaints or service issues promptly, turning potential negatives into positive experiences.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports, highlighting productivity, waste, and areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among all staff members.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 35 years old (maximum 0 years is a placeholder; we seek candidates within a typical working age range).
- Gender: Male candidates for kitchen supervision; female candidates are preferred for server roles, but we welcome all qualified applicants.
- Experience: No prior experience required, though any background in food service, kitchen operations, or hospitality will be advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Availability to work six days a week, with occasional overtime during special events.
