Introduction
The Asisten Laboratorium Sains position supports middle‑school (SMP) and high‑school (SMA) science programs at a modern campus in Gading Serpong. As a key member of the teaching team, you will help create a safe, engaging, and inquiry‑driven laboratory environment where students can explore physics, chemistry, biology, and earth‑science concepts. Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up, and calibrate laboratory equipment and experimental stations before each class, ensuring all materials meet safety standards.
- Assist teachers during practical sessions by guiding students through experimental procedures, troubleshooting technical issues, and reinforcing proper safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for chemicals, glassware, and consumables; place orders and manage stock levels to avoid interruptions in the curriculum.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of the lab space, enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and document any incidents or near‑misses.
- Develop supplemental teaching aids such as instructional handouts, digital simulations, and video demonstrations to reinforce core concepts.
- Grade lab reports, quizzes, and performance assessments in collaboration with the lead science teachers, providing constructive feedback to foster student growth.
- Organize and lead extracurricular science clubs, workshops, or competitions that encourage curiosity and problem‑solving beyond the classroom.
- Support the integration of technology in the lab, including data‑logging devices, virtual labs, and learning management systems.
- Participate in professional development sessions, faculty meetings, and curriculum planning to stay current with national education standards and emerging scientific trends.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Science, or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Maximum age of 32 years; all genders are welcomed.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory assistance, teaching support, or scientific research; fresh graduates with strong academic records are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; TOEFL or IELTS certification is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver instructional material, particularly in the area of teaching skill development (Pengembangan Keterampilan Mengajar).
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring young learners.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory safety equipment and familiarity with local health‑safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
