Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for drink preparation, sanitation, and inventory control.
- Handle point‑of‑sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit processing, and order entry.
- Collaborate closely with fellow baristas and support staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak service periods.
- Assist in training new team members on equipment use, drink recipes, and customer service protocols.
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and supplies, notifying management of replenishment needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers, offering product recommendations, answering questions, and gathering feedback to continuously improve service.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma, SMK, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a barista, with a proven track record of handling espresso machines.
- Demonstrated ability to create basic latte art and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of coffee brewing principles, grind size, extraction times, and flavor profiles.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills; ability to communicate clearly and support colleagues during busy shifts.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
