Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Staff Penagihan – Account Receivable to join our finance team in Sintang, Kalimantan. This full‑time position plays a critical role in maintaining cash flow, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward problem solving.
The role involves direct interaction with clients who have overdue balances, field visits to collection sites, and the negotiation of payment plans that are realistic for both the customer and the company. The successful applicant will also be responsible for preparing regular reports that inform senior management about collection performance and risk exposure.
Responsibilities
- Manage a designated collection area autonomously, ensuring all overdue accounts are tracked and pursued in a timely manner.
- Conduct on‑site visits to customers with overdue balances, building rapport and gathering necessary documentation for payment verification.
- Negotiate restructuring agreements or settlement terms that align with the company’s credit policies while remaining sensitive to the customer’s financial situation.
- Analyze each debtor’s payment capacity using financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts, and credit scores to determine appropriate collection strategies.
- Prepare daily and weekly collection reports, highlighting key metrics such as total outstanding amounts, recovery rates, and at‑risk accounts.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure that all payments are correctly posted and that any disputes are resolved efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s ERP system, updating contact information, payment promises, and status changes for each account.
- Identify trends in delinquency and provide actionable insights to the credit manager for policy enhancements.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements governing debt collection in Indonesia.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the client’s current policy).
- No prior experience required; however, any background in finance, sales, or customer service is advantageous.
- Strong active communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet daily targets.
- Basic computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP or accounting software.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned collection area and work a schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
