Introduction
We are seeking a highly qualified Doctor of Medical Rehabilitation (Spesialis Rehabilitasi Medik) to join our multidisciplinary team at a leading tertiary care hospital. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive rehabilitative care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, chronic pain, and postoperative conditions. The successful candidate will combine clinical expertise with compassionate patient interaction, ensuring each individual receives a personalized pathway to regain functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, including functional evaluations, diagnostic review, and goal‑setting with patients and families.
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized rehabilitation programs that incorporate physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech‑language pathology, and assistive technology as needed.
- Prescribe and supervise therapeutic modalities such as electro‑stimulation, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and pain‑management interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians from orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, and primary care to ensure integrated care plans.
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with hospital policies and national health regulations.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and community health workers on home‑based exercises, lifestyle modifications, and preventive strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, morbidity‑mortality meetings, and interdisciplinary rounds to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to research projects, quality‑improvement initiatives, and academic publications within the field of medical rehabilitation.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging rehabilitation technologies, evidence‑based practices, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Medical degree (S1) and a recognized specialist qualification in Medical Rehabilitation (SPOK / SMF Rehabilitasi Medik).
- Active medical license (STR) and professional practice permit (SIP) in Indonesia.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in a hospital or specialized rehab center.
- Proven ability to perform comprehensive assessments, develop therapeutic plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, and strong ethical standards.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional on‑call duties.
