Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Painter to join our growing team in the BSD (Tangerang Selatan) area. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a solid foundation in surface preparation, paint mixing, and application techniques, and who are eager to contribute to high‑quality finishing projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. As a key member of our workforce, you will work closely with project supervisors, site managers, and fellow tradespeople to ensure every job meets our stringent standards for durability, aesthetics, and safety. The position offers a stable schedule from 08:00 – 17:00, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and prepare all surfaces to be painted, including cleaning, sanding, patching cracks, and ensuring an even substrate before any coating is applied.
- Accurately mix and tint paint colors according to client specifications, reference swatches, or project design guidelines.
- Apply primer, base coats, and finish coats using a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, while maintaining consistent coverage and texture.
- Implement protective measures to safeguard surrounding areas, furniture, and fixtures from paint splatter and overspray.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the painting process to verify uniformity, smoothness, and adherence to the requested finish.
- Clean, maintain, and safely store all painting tools and equipment after each use to extend their lifespan and ensure workplace safety.
- Follow all occupational health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand timelines, coordinate material deliveries, and report any challenges that may affect project deadlines.
- Provide recommendations on surface treatments, paint types, and finishes that best suit specific environments, such as high‑humidity zones or high‑traffic areas.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with emerging paint technologies, eco‑friendly coatings, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Senior High School (SMA) / SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in painting, surface preparation, or related construction work.
- Demonstrated ability to mix colors, operate spray guns, and handle a variety of coating materials.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering a flawless finish.
- Physical stamina to work on ladders, scaffolds, and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate across multiple trades.
- Flexibility to be placed in the BSD (Tangerang Selatan) region on a full‑time basis.
