Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Researcher – FASKAMPEN to join our aviation security team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our Regulated Agent facilities remain compliant with the latest operational and safety regulations governing air cargo and passenger security. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directorate of Aviation Security (DKP) and the Airport Authority (OTBAN) to maintain high‑performance standards across all security equipment and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive improvement programs for Regulated Agent facilities, ensuring alignment with current aviation security policies and operational compliance requirements.
- Supervise routine maintenance activities, conducting periodic inspections of all support equipment—including X‑ray machines, tools, CCTV systems, and ancillary devices—and generate detailed condition reports.
- Schedule and coordinate recalibration, refurbishment, and preventive maintenance for all security assets to minimize downtime and sustain optimal performance.
- Prepare and submit monthly security facility reports to DKP and OTBAN, highlighting key performance indicators, incident trends, and corrective actions taken.
- Monitor the TIP (Threat Identification Program) database, ensuring that operator histories are accurately recorded and can be retrieved by name for audit purposes.
- Lead awareness and training sessions for AVSEC personnel on updated FASKAMPEN regulations, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee the issuance and renewal of Regulated Agent (RA) passes for staff, verifying eligibility and compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with cargo handling and logistics teams to streamline screening workflows, reducing bottlenecks while maintaining strict security controls.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support external inspections by regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a technical diploma related to aviation, security, or logistics is a plus.
- At least 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in cargo security, air logistics, regulated agent operations, or freight forwarding.
- Proven experience in cargo screening and facility operations, with a solid understanding of security inspection procedures.
- Possession of certification P3UKP (Personnel Monitoring & Prevention of Aviation Crime) and P3KP (Security Screening Equipment Operator) is required.
- Familiarity with airport security systems, screening devices, and calibration protocols.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with basic proficiency in English (passive).
- Ability to work flexible hours, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
