Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant coffee and tea shop located in Yogyakarta. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea beverages to the highest standard, following company recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the barista station, equipment, and surrounding work areas throughout the shift.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, brewers, and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Take customer orders accurately, suggest menu items, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on flavor profiles and brewing methods.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and ensure accurate record‑keeping at the point of sale.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, teas, syrups, milk, and related supplies; report shortages to the manager.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as assembling pastries, sandwiches, and light snacks, when required.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new beverage trends, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support fellow team members during peak periods, ensuring a smooth flow of service and a positive work atmosphere.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen or café environment, with a minimum of 6 months dedicated to barista duties.
- Demonstrated passion for coffee, tea, and the broader F&B industry.
- Strong teamwork orientation and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- High level of initiative, quick learning ability, and adaptability to new processes.
- Professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Discipline in following hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
- Willingness to be assigned to locations outside the city, specifically Yogyakarta.
