Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and answering any initial inquiries.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate special requests to the kitchen, and ensure timely delivery to tables.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, polishing silverware, and managing table turnover efficiently.
- Follow all café Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to synchronize service flow during peak hours.
- Handle payment transactions, process cash and card payments, and issue receipts with accuracy.
- Respond to guest feedback, resolve minor issues on the spot, and escalate more complex concerns to the supervisor.
- Participate in daily briefings, attend training sessions, and stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and special events.
- Maintain personal appearance and uniform standards to reflect the café’s brand image.
- Adhere to the 3‑shift schedule, working an 8‑hour shift per day with one day off per week.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age between 18 and 30 years (preferred 18‑25).
- At least 1 year of proven experience in food & beverage service; experience in a café or casual dining setting is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills, polite demeanor, and the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Disciplined, punctual, and demonstrates high ethical standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle pressure during busy periods.
- Genuine interest in the F&B industry and a passion for hospitality.
- Presentable appearance, neat grooming, and adherence to dress code.
- Resides in Medan and possesses reliable transportation for commuting.
- Not currently enrolled in university or holding another full‑time job.
- Willingness to commit to a 7‑month contract.
- Prepared to submit a complete application package (cover letter, two passport‑size photos, photocopies of KTP, latest diploma, family card, and updated CV) directly to the café location.
