Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and rigorously test advanced electrical and electronic systems tailored for IoT applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including hardware, software, product management, and UX—to embed IoT technology into existing products and to conceive innovative new solutions.
- Implement AI algorithms and machine‑learning techniques that optimize device performance, power consumption, and data analytics.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments to provide technical guidance on IoT and AI implementation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, performing root‑cause analysis and documenting corrective actions.
- Stay current with the latest IoT standards, protocols, and industry trends (e.g., MQTT, Zigbee, LoRa, BLE) and evaluate their applicability to ongoing projects.
- Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, and PHP, and manage backend databases using MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and knowledge‑base articles to support engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and ethical engineering.
Requirements
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, IT Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an IoT engineer or in a comparable technical role.
- Strong grasp of IoT concepts, architectures, and communication protocols (MQTT, Zigbee, LoRa, BLE, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages: C/C++, Python, Java, PHP, and experience with database systems (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Hands‑on experience with popular IoT platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and familiarity with edge‑computing frameworks.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
