The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Bahasa Indonesia or a related field, at least one year of teaching experience, and a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 07:00‑16:00, providing a structured yet flexible schedule for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and deliver engaging Bahasa Indonesia lessons that align with the national curriculum and, where applicable, IGCSE (O‑Level & A‑Level) standards.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools to support differentiated learning.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance interactive learning experiences.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain classroom discipline by establishing clear expectations, managing behavior, and creating a safe, supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, department heads, and school leadership on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and school improvement initiatives.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, professional development workshops, and school events.
- Engage in continuous professional learning, staying abreast of pedagogical trends, language acquisition research, and educational technology.
- Contribute to the school’s multicultural environment by respecting diverse cultural perspectives and promoting inclusive practices.
- Perform occasional administrative duties such as attendance recording, report writing, and inventory management of teaching resources.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Bahasa Indonesia, Education, Linguistics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 1 year of proven teaching experience at the junior or senior secondary level.
- Familiarity with the IGCSE (O‑Level & A‑Level) curriculum is a strong plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging lesson plans.
- Strong analytical abilities for grammar analysis, error inspection, and language structure comprehension.
- Proficiency in using computers and educational software (e.g., Google Classroom, Microsoft Office, LMS platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
